#davesdailychallenge (47): Culture Series Part 2. In the second chapter of our ongoing discussion of the power of organizational culture we’ll talk about the vital subject of caring about your fellow team members. If the members of a team don’t authentically care about their teammates, whether they are a corporate project team, a sports franchise, an elite military unit, or a non-profit group, they will forever be relegated to a lower level of success. If you care about the people that stand next to you every single day as you go about your professional life, and caring for one another becomes part of your every day culture, you will find that your abilities as a team are much higher than you previously thought. Team members will be extraordinarily loyal to the group and a positive long term culture based on mutual respect can take root. The next time you are with your colleagues look around and remember that these are human beings that want the same things you do. You are teammates. You are striving towards the same goal. Go the extra mile for them and take care of your colleagues, regardless of rank, title, or experience level. Do that and it will be returned to you ten fold.
