#davesdailychallenge (166): Us. Without fail, every success I’ve ever had in my life has been accomplished with at least one other person involved. In fact, these successes were usually the product of a team of people. Whether or not you see it now, it is nearly impossible to achieve anything truly great by yourself. If you manage to accomplish this rare feat you’ll discover the saddest part of it all…success experienced alone is lonely and inglorious. The good news is that when the team wins the victory is all the sweeter because you can grow with these people to continue to accomplish great things. How do I know this so well? On more than one occasion in my life I have spurned the help of others for multiple reasons. Among these reasons is that working by yourself can appear simpler. Another reason would be that I was greedy and didn’t want to share what I perceived to be the positive end results of hard work. Luckily I learned these lessons early on in life so every personal pursuit, business venture, and volunteer activity that I engage in now is done so through the lens of what can be accomplished with others on board. In fact, I’ll actively take the opportunity to be a follower of someone else who can teach me something new. We is much better than me.
