The Ungettable Get – Daily Growth

#davesdailychallenge (80): The Ungettable Get. Human nature is to associate a certain measure of “unobtainability” towards certain people, positions, or possibilities. There’s no way you could talk to @zacefron right? There’s just no possible way you could land that dream job at Apple. If you go up and talk to that hot girl or guy at the bar it just won’t go well correct? They’re just on another level than you. It is impossible to lose the body fat you’re struggling with and become more healthy. It is impossible to talk to the CEO of that Fortune 500 business. It is impossible to get that promotion.

I hear this all the time and the same thing pops into my mind. While I certainly understand that tangible barriers exist to contacting that celebrity or engaging with that business leader, we must all remember what we share in common with others. At one time in our lives we were young and inexperienced. We were awkward and shy. Some of us had external confidence that was only paper thin. We are all just human beings and no one is perfect. Check out the stories of some of the most famous people on the planet and you will hear stories full of fear, paranoia, failure, loss, frailty, sickness, heartbreak, rebirth, rededication, hard work, clean eating, and success.

The most “ungettable” people, positions, or possibilities are, in actuality, not impossible. They’re tough, they’re perhaps improbable but stop using the word impossible.

Remember what binds us together versus what pulls us apart and you’ll be much more successful to obtain what you want. After all, no matter what you can remind yourself that we all went to middle school and no one is cool in middle school. Good luck my friends.
